“If you fear man, you fear not God.”

I cannot remember which well-known preacher said these words, I believe it was Charles Finney. This is a succinct way of putting a profound truth.

” The fear of man brings a snare (trap), but he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted.” Proverbs 29:25 NASB

That pretty well says it.

‘Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “And you, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Then cause her to know all her abominations. 3 You shall say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “A city shedding blood in her midst, so that her time will come, and that makes idols, contrary to her interest, for defilement! 4 You have become guilty by the blood which you have shed, and defiled by your idols which you have made. Thus you have brought your day near and have come to your years; therefore I have made you a reproach to the nations and a mocking to all the lands. 5 Those who are near and those who are far from you will mock you, you of ill repute, full of turmoil.

6 “Behold, the rulers of Israel, each according to his power, have been in you for the purpose of shedding blood. 7 They have treated father and mother lightly within you. The alien they have oppressed in your midst; the fatherless and the widow they have wronged in you. 8 You have despised My holy things and profaned My sabbaths. 9 Slanderous men have been in you for the purpose of shedding blood, and in you they have eaten at the mountain shrines. In your midst they have committed acts of lewdness.” Ezekiel 22:1-9

“Her princes within her are like wolves tearing the prey, by shedding blood and destroying lives in order to get dishonest gain.” Ezekiel 22:27

(Emphasis added … all Scripture passages from the NASB)

Tragically, the number of children sacrificed in Judea pales in comparison to what has happened in America. Do you see the clear parallels between what was happening in Judea and what has been happening in America since 1973. Between 58 and 60 MILLION unborn, innocent babies have been slaughtered in America since this perverted decision was made. We now know that a lot of manipulation was used to make it happen, including the manipulation of the woman used in the case, who has since become a Christian and has revealed the evil of how this happened.

Can you imagine that almost the entire population of California and Texas have been murdered FOR PROFIT. Planned Parenthood aborted 323,999 babies in 2014, while spending U.S. taxpayer support dollars amounting to $553.7 million dollars, not to mention the money charged to do the abortions and then selling the baby parts to interested organizations. THIS IS AN ABOMINATION! During the Obama years, they had the complete support for their activities and the conservative congress had their hands tied by Democrats and Obama in any effort to defund them. Anything they sent up to Obama was vetoed.

The question now is will President Trump and the Republicans, who control both houses, DEFUND this hideous organization? Will they have the backbone to cut the fangs out of this vicious evil? Please put this on your daily prayer list.

“If I regard wickedness in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” Psalm 66:18 NASB

The key to getting our prayers through to the Throne of God is confession and forsaking our sins.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 NASB

God expects us to forsake our sins, not return over and over to the same failures.

“He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.” Proverbs 28:13 NASB

“How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered!
2 How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no deceit!

3 When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;
my vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. Selah.
5 I acknowledged my sin to You,
and my iniquity I did not hide;
I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord’;
and You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.
6 Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found;
surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.
7 You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble;
You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.” Psalm 32:1-7 NASB

The word Selah is a musical interlude and many scholars believe that this was for the hearer or reader to stop and consider what they have just heard or read.

Don’t we all want to live with the favor of God? This is the place where we receive His blessings.

“Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; how blessed are all those who long for Him.” Isaiah 30:18 NASB

“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, (KJV without natural affection:this is the root of child sexual exploitation, even by some parents) irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; avoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith. 9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly was also.

(A good way to identify a cult is by three things: money, sexual immorality and power over others.)

10 Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me! 12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 13 But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:1-17 NASB

It would take a very long article to break down what each of the opening words mean so we can grasp just how evil these things are. The thing that Paul continues to refer Timothy to here is the SCRIPTURES and who it was who taught them to him. ALL SCRIPTURE is inspired by God with wonderful effects to those who grasp them tightly. Peter gives further insight in what to expect from the Last Days in the following text.

“Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, 4 and saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.’ ” 2 Peter 3:3-4 NASB

First of all refers to that which is FIRST in importance. We are today surrounded by a multitude of mockers concerning our faith in God and His Word. The Word of God is in the cross hairs of liberal media outlets, movies, music, politicians and those living in immoral lifestyles. This is their way of trying to justify their own blatant sin. You see, if I am out of line with God then the only way I can justify my choices is by attempting to destroy all opposition. We see this every day in America and around the world.

We live in some of the most confusing days in modern history. We are surrounded by odd ball philosophies, theories (i.e. evolution etc.) teachings said to be from the Bible and violent terrorists who claim to represent god (small g).

These passages from the Bible lay out what can be expected as time moves to the close of earth’s history. The LORD made it crystal clear what we should expect to come about. Our number one responsibility is to STICK TO THE WORD OF GOD and judge all things based on what IT SAYS. Far too many professing Christian denominations today have gone totally apostate, just as the Bible warns will happen. Apostasy means the falling away from the Doctrines or Teachings of Scripture.

“But the Spirit explicitly says that in the latter times some will fall away (apostacize) from the faith (teachings of the Word of God), paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron…” 1 Timothy 4:1-2 NASB

Other groups are teaching blatant heresy in the name of Prosperity Teaching and many other offshoots of this twisted teaching. I have heard some of these openly say, “If you are not rich then you are living in sin.” This is found NO PLACE in the Word of God!

Far too many pastors, teachers and Christian educators have bought into the soft pedaling of God’s Word, with the so-called Feel Good Preaching, so as to never offend anyone with the Word of God. They cherry pick passages that avoid dealing with issues of sin so that they can keep people attending so that they can have a huge following. Far too many churches today are a mile wide and an inch deep! Like the old song goes, “Deep and wide.” Truly biblical churches are to be both. The proper teaching of Gods Word is from Genesis to Revelation with nothing left out. This is commonly referred to as teaching the Whole Counsel of God.

It boggles my mind often to come across what many pastors are teaching today. Things totally outside the revealed Word of God. Many just relate dreams, experiences or supposed special revelations given just to them. This should throw up a red flag to all true believers. The Word tells us to,

“Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 NASB

Well, this article has become too long again, but this is a critical issue for all Christians today. An old saying goes, “If we don’t stand for something we will fall for anything.”
