1 Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man?
The lovingkindness of God endures all day long.
2
Your tongue devises destruction,
like a sharp razor, O worker of deceit.
3
You love evil more than good,
falsehood more than speaking what is right. Selah.
4
You love all words that devour,
O deceitful tongue.

5
But God will break you down forever;
He will snatch you up and tear you away from your tent,
and uproot you from the land of the living. Selah.
6
The righteous will see and fear,
and will laugh at him, saying,
7
“Behold, the man who would not make God his refuge,
but trusted in the abundance of his riches
and was strong in his evil desire.”

8
But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God;
I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.
9
I will give You thanks forever, because You have done it,
and I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones.

Psalm 52 NASB

We live in a world today where pride, arrogance and selfishness prevail in far too many lives. Just to watch Shark Tank, we see arrogant men and women so full of themselves and boast constantly of their riches and power. The premise of this show is that these filthy rich people examine people who have come up with new ideas and if it is a good one these sharks will fight over who gets to take advantage of them so they can become even wealthier and more powerful.

Not just in business, but in politics especially. The man in the White House and most of congress are so full of themselves and their self-worth that they have forgotten why they were elected in the first place. Evil agendas rule deeply in most of their lives. Mr. Obama has done more to divide people ethnically than we have seen since Gov. George Wallace of Alabama who was rabidly full of hatred for black people. Today, it is the opposite where white people are singled out as the targets of Obama and his cohorts, and all too often members of the law enforcement community.

More has been done to destroy what generations of Americans have done to build up this great nation and give God His rightful place of honor and respect. Generations of military warriors have fought, bled and died to keep us FREE from Socialism and now it is being promoted openly by the Democrat party. I sense that the extreme debt being amassed by Obama is his way of bringing this nation to its knees so that it can be ruled by either Socialism or Islam.

I have sensed, in recent months, that we are either headed soon or are now in the Last Days. It will be a time to test the very fabric of all Christians worldwide. The Church has grown so soft that I wonder how many will stand the test and pass it. When the Anti-Christ comes and demands that Christians either renounce their faith in Jesus or not be able to work, buy or sell etc., how many will stand up for God? How many will cave in and take the Mark of the Beast and seal their eternity in the Lake of Fire. Yes, that is right. To receive the Mark of the Beast is to be lost for eternity. Many will rationalize that God would not mind if we took this mark and that He will still save them. Note the following Scripture passage.

“Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives the mark on his forehead or his right hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wreath of God, which is mixed full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone int he presence of the holy angels in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.’ Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.” Revelation 14:9-12 NASB

Far too many professing believers today have never heard of this passage since their pastors have never made them aware of it. Ignorance is absolutely no excuse in this instance. God’s Word is set solid like a huge mountain.

I hope all who read this today will take this seriously. Milk toast believers won’t make it. It is time to get dead serous about our walk with God, NOW! God will see all of His children through whatever is throw at us. To die is merely graduation into His glorious presence, so why would we fear death? No reason to fear the future for He holds the hands of all who have made Him truly Lord of their lives.

“Do not fret because of evildoers, be not envious toward wrongdoers. For they will wither quickly like the grass and fade like the green herb. Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger and forsake wrath; do not fret; it leads only to evildoing. For the evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land. Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more; and you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there. But the humble will inherit the land and will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.” Psalm 37:1-11 NASB

Isn’t it amazing how quickly fame and wealth fade away. Just think about those in recent years. Steve Jobs, filthy rich but now he is no more. Walt Disney, George Burns, Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Robin Williams, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Curt Cobain, River Phoenix, Bob Marley, Princess Diana, Marilyn Monroe, John F. Kennedy, James Dean and multitudes of others are now a faded memory. Their wealth, fame or power was short-lived and now others, who will soon be a memory, will have taken their places. The only Who’s Who worth being in is the Book of Life which God controls and billions today have failed to be written in it. Many totally unknown people, and some well-known ones, are written there because they chose to walk a different road, that of living their lives to please God and not man or themselves. Did you know that grave-clothes have no pockets? Just proving that no matter how much you have in this life, you just cannot take it with you. Many have had objects of worth put in their caskets, but if you dig them up today it remains right where it was placed.

The only path worth taking in life is that of knowing, loving and serving God. He alone promises eternal rewards to His children. For ALL the rest, He also promises something, eternal separation from Him in the Lake of Fire. Some would say that this is not fair that God would send people to such a place. Fact is, He does not SEND anyone to this awful place, in order to go there you have to VOLUNTEER to do so. To reject His offer of forgiveness and eternal life, you are actually choosing eternal separation from Him in this awful place.

Choose you this day whom you will serve …. our choice has eternal consequences.

Think on these things.

“1 How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered!
2 How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no deceit!

3 When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;
my vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. Selah.
5 I acknowledged my sin to You,
and my iniquity I did not hide;
I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord’;
and You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.
6 Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found;
surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.
7 You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble;
You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.” Psalm 32:1-7 NASB

Wow! What an amazing Psalm for all believers to grab hold of to give God praise for His gracious gift of forgiveness and eternal life.

The best interpretation of the word Selah is “Stop and consider what was just said.” The first seven verses of this Psalm has a number of those times to stop and ponder deeply what was just said.

Have a wonderful day in the LORD.
