To all my friends on Facebook. This is just stating my strong convictions on an issue that is happening now. I was disappointed to hear, on the radio today, that Apple and Angie’s List have come out strongly against the religious freedom bill and Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana. I am sure that there are many more. I have contacted both corporations letting them know my feelings, in a very kind way, and my disappointment that they would take such a strong stand against religious freedom. Thirty other states and the federal government have, according to what I have heard, legislation very similar to this one. Ladies and gentlemen, CHRISTIANITY IS IN THE CROSS HAIRS OF MANY IN OUR GOVERNMENT, ORGANIZATIONS AND MANY MAJOR CORPORATIONS. It is time to take a stand and defend our First Amendment rights to practice our faith without opposition. We are daily attacked, in one way or the other, and we MUST stand up and let them know that we will not be a doormat any more. Many laws have already been passed that are contrary to laws already on the books, that clearly defend American’s freedoms. Hate speech laws are a back door means of curtailing our freedom of speech. Do you remember seeing signs in businesses that read, “WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE.” Since when have the minority voice overridden the majority voice? Look to California’s law, passed by the voters by 61%, defending marriage. It was in essence thrown out because of the gay resistance. The DOM, Defense of Marriage law, has been attacked over and over until it basically is destroyed. There are a few pastors who are speaking out on these issues. It is time for not only pastors to do so but for ALL Christians to stand up to these attackers and say NO MORE. We must always do this in kindness and gentleness, but FIRMNESS! Join me in letting these corporations know that you choose to no longer do business with them. The power of the purse is a powerful tool when used by a large group of people. Remember, snowflakes are fragile little things but if enough of them stick together, they can stop traffic. Let’s stop some traffic!

“12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; 14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; 17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.

20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. 21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.” 1 Corinthians 15:12-22 NASB

(emphasis added for effect)

Hallelujah! What amazing reasoning from the Scriptures that Paul uses to establish the essential nature of the resurrection from the dead. This whole chapter, 58 verses worth, is loaded with amazing biblical truth. Just a note on verse 20. “has been raised,” in the Greek, is a Perfect Passive Indicative. The perfect means that He was raised in a point of time and the results continue forever and the passive voice indicates that it was done for Him, since the Father and Spirit were involved, and the indicative mood is a state of reality. Don’t you just love how each word is carefully chosen for Paul to write down, so that WE today can be blessed with such confirmation of the facts?

Take the time to read through this chapter before you go to bed tonight, then give Him praise for such wonderful promises that He gives to those who belong to Him.

“4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 NASB

If the whole church of Jesus Christ practiced these words daily, it would change the world! Have a wonderful day.

If we look back even twenty years, the letters describing people’s sexual preferences were few or non-existent. I came across this one recently: LGBTQQIA. Not sure what all of them mean but a few are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, queer, asexual and QI which I have no idea. I also came across the terms pansexual and polysexual. What a sad day when human beings identify themselves by sexuality. My identify is that I am a Christian, not by being heterosexual. I was pondering this the other day and I thought that from a biblical perspective there should be the following letters. HHFAPSP: these are heterosexual, homosexual, fornicator, adulterer, pedophile and sexual pervert. I am fully aware that these are not Politically Correct but I focus on being Biblically Correct instead. The Bible has a lot to say about sexuality. It sets proper boundaries for the wonderful gift of sexual relationship created by God Himself in the marriage relationship of a man and a woman. God also gives harsh punishments for stepping outside His boundaries.

“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27 NASB

By Genesis 19, man had decided to pervert God’s master plan and entered into every form of sexual perversion and received the wrath of God for so doing. The in the New Testament we read …

“18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. 25 For they exchanged the truth of God for a (literally The lie) lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.” Romans 1:18-32 NASB

This passage closely describes the world of 2015. I wonder how many pastors today would dare preach on this passage. Some do and they are the heroes of our day. Others do trying to justify such behaviors. Those who preach the truth have chosen to “speak the truth in love,” so that sinners would not be lulled into Hell by condoning their sin. This is what we are doing when we condone sexual sins by calling them normal. Do you realize that our congress is lobbied by those trying to lower the age of consent so that pedophiles can use children for their perversions? As available as sexual immorality is available today, why pick on innocent children? What insanity drives them? Further, the Bible says …

“9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.”

In other words, God can save and change the lives of anyone, no matter what their sin. All of us reading this can say Amen to this! It continues as Paul focuses on Christians and immorality.

“12 All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything. 13 Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, but God will do away with both of them. Yet the body is not for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. 14 Now God has not only raised the Lord, but will also raise us up through His power. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be! 16 Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says, ‘The two shall become one flesh.’ (This says that this is the same as consummating a marriage) 17 But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 18 Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-20 NASB

Folks, my pulpit today is mostly my computer, my web site, my e-mail and Facebook. My heart is broken as I see people destroying their lives and if they die in this state, they will be cast off into the Lake of Fire. For those who are professing Christians, I am grieved when I see the Facebook pages of them with things that grieve the heart of God freely displayed there or to hear them use profanity without being concerned about how this grieves the heart of God.

Folks, it is time for the church of Jesus Christ to live like the church of Jesus Christ, in PURITY and HOLINESS, not in perversion and immorality. I know that there are those who receive this article who will discard it to the trash file, but I pray to God that you will take these words to heart before discarding them. I love all of you, saint and sinner. You matter to God and to me. God’s ways are life and peace. The world will consume you if you stay in its grasp. I hope you see this and repent, turn toward God, this very hour.

“9 but just as it is written,

‘Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,
and which have not entered the heart of man,
all that God has prepared for those who love Him.’

10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.

14 But a natural (soulish, non-spiritual) man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. 15 But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. 16 For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-16 NASB

Wow! This goes along with 2 Corinthians :4;3-4,

“And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world (wanna be god) has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

All of us who have been born again remember a time when we too were blinded by the devil, but thanks be to God, He revealed His light into our darkness and made us see how totally we had believed lies so as to keep us in the darkness of this evil world. I have walked with the Lord now for over forty years and I still stand in awe of that moment in December of 1974 when His glorious light broke through the darkness of my mind and set me forever free from sin and death.

It is our responsibility to be light bearers to those still in darkness. What if someone had not cared enough to tell us about this marvelous light? We would still be in darkness and only a heartbeat away from an eternal separation from this loving God in the Lake of Fire forever. Now we have the same forever but a different forwarding address, heaven.

Have a wonderful day and let’s go out of our way to make Him known to those around us.

“31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? 33 Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; 34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 Just as it is written,

“For Your sake we are being put to death all day long;
We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:31-39

These words need little interpretation. For all who are IN Christ Jesus, these words bring great hope and encouragement. For those who are NOT IN Christ Jesus, they have little effect since they are not written for unbelievers.

You see, as it says in Romans 8:1, “Therefore there is now NO condemnation for those who are IN Christ Jesus…”

But for those who live in rebellion to the will of God,

“For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh CANNOT please God.” Romans 8:6-8

How can we know that we are IN Christ Jesus?

“For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Romans 8:14

So, the question to be answered is, am I being led by the Spirit of God? Do I seek to please God with my thoughts, words, choices and lifestyle. The Bible makes it crystal clear what the will of God is for His children. Do I spend time daily reading His word and praying so as to know for sure that I am doing that which is pleasing to Him or am I just living my life to please myself? It is not hard to determine this. I find far too many professing Christians today using profanity freely and have no problem watching TV or movies with immoral and evil content. This should be a red flag to those who THINK that they are born again. Our choices are great indicators as to whether we are His children or not.

This is a very serious issue since we do not know the day of our death. To die without knowing Him and His forgiveness is to be cast away for eternity into the Lake of Fire. Choose carefully how you live your life. It determines where you will spend eternity.

This is exactly what the Bible prophesies for the last days. There will be a “Falling Away” from the FAITH, as is clearly stated in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 NASB.

“Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.”

Folks, this APOSTASY is everywhere today in the so-called Christian church. This is not the only denomination to go the way of the world and clearly ignore clear teachings that have endured since their time of writing! It is not just gay marriage at issue. Homosexuality, sexual immorality, abortion, church leadership standards etc. are involved. When we see openly homosexual pastors in the pulpit, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how this fulfills the Bible’s predictions.

The word APOSTASY means “a falling away, a withdrawal, a defection.” In a parallel passage, 1 Timothy 4:1, it says,

“But the Spirit explicitly says that in the latter time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.”

The Faith is a term used to refer to the doctrines of the Word of God, not just the verb form referring to having faith in or trust in someone or something.

To keep this as short as possible let me cut to the chase on this whole movement toward apostasy of the Church. My position could not be more solid: The Word of God does not flex to conform with society’s norms and standards. This is an absolute! The Word of God lives and abides forever and DOES NOT CHANGE, EVER!!!!!

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.” Luke 21:33 NASB

So, for all who desire to know the WHOLE truth, let us preach, teach, talk about and LIVE OUT the TRUTH without compromise!

“But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near!” Luke 21:31 NASB

I can almost hear the trumpet sounding now! Let’s not forget to try and take as many people with us as we can when we leave this earth. Jesus died for sinners so that we may all spend eternity with Him in heaven. It would be purely selfish to only care about ourselves and our families. There are approximately six billion souls who do not know our precious Lord and Savior. The Great Commission is found in all four Gospels and also in the book of Acts. It matters to God and it must matter to us as well.

Love you all!

(Words displayed in bold for emphasis)
