that when John the Immerser (baptizer) sent word to Jesus/Yeshua, that he was asking a huge question of Him? The text is in Matthew 11:2-3.

“Now when John, while imprisoned, heard of the works of Christ/Mashiach, he sent word by his disciples and said to Him, ‘Are You the Expected One (Literally Coming One), or shall we look for someone else?’ ” Matthew 11:2-3 NASB

Now, Jesus’/Yeshua’s answer is the profound part of it all. He quotes from Isaiah 35:5-6 and depicts the signs that will reveal the true Messiah.

“Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the Arabah/desert.” Isaiah 35:5-6 NASB

Now, note Jesus’/Yeshua’s answer.

“Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Go and report to John what you hear and see: the BLIND RECEIVE SIGHT and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the POOR HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM. And blessed is he who does not take offense at Me.’ ” Matthew 11:4-6 NASB

If you ask a Jew today, they will tell you that these are the expected signs of the Coming One/Messiah. Jesus/Yeshua fulfilled these and many more. Not since Naaman 2 Samuel 5, was a person healed from Leprosy. All these miracles astounded the people and the priests that He sent them to be examined by and to bear witness to them in His time.

“And Jesus said to him, ‘See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” Matthew 8:4 NASB

This happened many times throughout the gospels. Jesus not only wanted those who were healed to believe in Him, but He also wanted the priesthood to repent and believe, as many did. Did you know that we have no record of any Sadducee believing in Him? How tragic. They were the true skeptics of His day.

To me, even greater than seeing the dead raised is when a spiritually dead person is made alive by being born again. We should celebrate this like crazy!!!

Happy New Year to all my friends and family. Love you all! Looking for great things from the LORD in 2013.

There was NO STAR at the announcement of Messiah’s birth to the shepherds, this came 11/2 to 2 years later, when the Magi came. Note the difference.

“Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His STAR in the east and have come to WORSHIP Him.” Matthew 2:2 NASB (emphasis added in texts)

“After hearing the king, they went their way; and the STAR, which they had seen in the east, WENT ON before them until it came and STOOD OVER the place where the CHILD was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. After coming into the HOUSE they saw the CHILD with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” Matthew 2:9-11 NASB

NOTE: There is NO mention of there being three (3) Magi, nor does it say that they were kings. History tells us that the Magi were feared by all who saw them because of their powers and that they often traveled in casts of up to fifty at a time. This is why Herod did not arrest them or do them any harm. These men were probably the offspring of the wise men of Babylon and taught by Daniel and others.

Note also that the word for baby and child are two very different words. Brephos is a baby, as in Luke 2:12, and child is paidion, as we find in Matthew 2:11, and refers to a young child. We can get a clear meaning of the term by the text itself, when Herod kills all boy babies TWO years and younger. They also come into a HOUSE, not a stable. This was a long process from the shepherds to the arrival of the Magi.

Also, the Roman Catholic church teaches that Mary was a perpetual virgin till she died. This is not true as per the Bible itself.

“And Joseph/Yosef awoke from his sleep an did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary/Mir’yam as his wife, BUT kept her a virgin UNTIL she gave birth to a Son, and he called His name Jesus/Yshua.” (Hebrew names added for clarity) Matthew 1:16-17 NASB

“Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary, and his brothers, James/Yakov and Joseph/Yosef and Simon/Shimon and Judas/Yehudah? And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” Matthew 13:55-56 NASB

Did you catch it? Joseph kept her a virgin UNTIL, indicating that this came to an end after Jesus was born, and that later His brothers are named and his sisters are mentioned. It was not customary to name the girls in written documents at the time.

Also, we do not know what happened to Joseph after they returned from Egypt and settled in Nazareth. He may have been much older than Mary and possibly passed away. I am sure that he did not divorce her. The goofy television specials about Jesus in Egypt are purely fictional as we have NO record of what happened to Him while there. It never ceases to amaze me at how many TV specials and magazine front covers Jesus makes at Christmas time and the articles are NEVER written by reputable scholars but by basically quacks who do nothing more than attack the Scriptural account of His birth.

PS: DO NOT FALL PREY TO THE PBS SPECIAL THAT THEY DO FREQUENTLY CALLED THE JESUS SEMINAR nor any programs featuring Bill Moyer who does the same attack dog approach to the Bible. These so-called scholars are again a bunch of quacks who are there for nothing more than trying to destroy the faith we hold in the totally trustworthy Bible story of His entire life, death and resurrection.

I think that all believers would be much better served to spend time READING the Word of God rather than wasting time watching quacks on TV, this includes some TV preachers.

Well folks, may God bless you greatly in the coming year. If you read just three (3) chapters a day, you can read the whole Bible TWICE in a year. Try it, you will LOVE it!

PSS: The Messianic Jews believe that Y’shua/Jesus was born at the festival of Sukkot or the festival of Booths/Tabernacles which is in September/October. There is pretty good evidence for this being the real date. Everyone had to live in booths made from the branches of trees and no one was allowed to be inside of their homes. It would be logical that Mary and Joseph could have been in one of these booths instead of the barn. Food for thought.

It is easy for believers to loose focus with all the negative junk around us. Most of us hoped for a different outcome in the presidential election. The feeling of giving up can easily overwhelm us and we just drop into a rut of just getting by and not caring about critical issues that we face in America today.

“Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed and founds a town with violence! Is it not indeed from the LORD of hosts that peoples toil for fire, and nations grow weary for nothing? For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”

“What profit is the idol when its maker has carved it, or an image, a teacher of falsehood? For its maker trusts in his own handiwork when he fashions speechless idols. Woe to him who says to a piece of wood, ‘Awake!’ To a mute stone, ‘Arise!’ And that is your teacher? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all inside it. BUT the LORD is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him.” (bold added for emphasis) Habakkuk 2:14, 18-20 NASB

The word woe means, “O how horrible it will be.” That gets serious right from the start. Just imagine for a moment how man billions of people today worship idols of some sort, from real religious symbols to money, sex or power. Note the progression of the verses and how they both end up where mankind should begin, at the feet of Almighty God.

“But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall I will rise; though I dwell in darkness, the LORD is a light for me.” Micah 7:7-8 NASB

“This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is NO darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5 NASB

“For You are my lamp, O LORD; and the LORD illumines my darkness” 2 Samuel 22:29 NASB

“10 There were those who dwelt in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners inmisery and chains, 11 because they had rebelled against the words of God and spurned the counsel of the Most High. 12 Therefore He humbled their heart with labor ; they stumbled and there was none to help. 13 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble ; He saved them out of their distresses. 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke their bands apart. 15 Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men ! 16 For He has shattered gates of bronze and cut bars of iron asunder. 17 Fools, because of their rebellious way, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted. 18 Their soul abhorred all kinds of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. 19 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble ; He saved them out of their distresses. 20 He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. 21 Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men ! 22 Let them also offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of His works with joyful singing. Psalm 107:10-22 NASB

WOW! What an awesome, loving, merciful, gracious, forgiving, sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient and perfect God we serve! Let us celebrate December 17, 2012 with all our heart, soul, mind and body.

5 Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who lead my people astray;
When they have something to bite with their teeth,
They cry, “Peace,”
But against him who puts nothing in their mouths
They declare holy war.
6 Therefore it will be night for you—without vision,
And darkness for you—without divination.
The sun will go down on the prophets,
And the day will become dark over them.
7 The seers will be ashamed
And the diviners will be embarrassed.
Indeed, they will all cover their mouths
Because there is no answer from God.
8 On the other hand I am filled with power—
With the Spirit of the Lord—
And with justice and courage
To make known to Jacob his rebellious act,
Even to Israel his sin.
9 Now hear this, heads of the house of Jacob
And rulers of the house of Israel,
Who abhor justice
And twist everything that is straight, (like modern news media and liberals)
10 Who build Zion with bloodshed
And Jerusalem with violent injustice.
11 Her leaders pronounce judgment for a bribe,
Her priests instruct for a price
And her prophets divine for money. (reminds me of televangelists)
Yet they lean on the Lord saying,
“Is not the Lord in our midst?
Calamity will not come upon us.”
12 Therefore, on account of you
Zion will be plowed as a field,
Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins,
And the mountain of the temple will become high places of a forest. Micah 3:5-12 NASB (bold added for emphasis)

I am amazed at how up to date the Scriptures are with our modern society. All one has to do is to call churches today and seek to rent their facilities for a wedding etc. and get the shock of how much they CHARGE for using them. I had a young couple come by to see me, many years ago, and ask how much we would charge to use our building for a wedding. They hastened to tell me that they had called a particular church and they wanted $700.00 for just a couple of hours. The groom added, you know we would pay it but I WOULD NEVER SET FOOT IN THAT CHURCH LATER ON. I told him that we just wanted to cover cooling and other electrical costs and they could hold their ceremony there. He was amazed. I have had folks tell me that their priest or minister charged for christenings, baptisms etc. and I was set back. WHY on earth have people made a business out of Christianity. To tune in to CBN or TBN, you won’t watch long before they try to put their hand into your pocket for money. Just send us your offering and we will send you this cloth that brother so and so has wiped his sweat on and if you place it on the part of your body that hurts, you will be healed! Hogwash! You will only get another empty promise and disappointment. It worked for the Apostle Paul, BUT HE DID NOT CHARGE FOR IT!!!! It worked because the anointing of God was powerfully on his life and GOD healed the people, not Paul. I have been sickened in my stomach by hearing the gimmicks that these sheisters use to manipulate ignorant people out of their money. Yes, I say ignorant since stupid is quite different from folks who are uneducated in the ways of God and His Word.

As it says in verse five, they LEAD THE PEOPLE OF GOD ASTRAY. This is something that God takes very seriously and He deals with them in His time and it won’t be pleasant. It is amazing to read about these men and women and see how much they have in property, transportation and money in the bank. Most of it coming from widows on a fixed income. It is amazing also to see them called Doctor so and so on TV and yet to read their bios you find that many barely finished college, or not at all, and they either bought their degree on line or was given it by some unaccredited institution. Even when a person gets a genuine give away doctorate they are supposed to put it at the end of their names such as Rev. Dr, never Dr. Joe Blow. This is the way that people who earn their doctorate sign their names. Again this is the way of deceiving people. Did you know that even Billy Graham has an honorary doctorate from a legitimate university? He never attempts to deceive people about this. Billy is a classic example of a truly godly servant of the Lord.

I have personally seen GOD work miracles of healing, and some of you are the ones HE has healed. I healed NO ONE, GOD did it and gets all the glory for it. I got the thrill of being used by Him.

It staggers my mind when I listen to them teach the Bible. Talk about twisting the Scriptures to make them say something they NEVER said originally. I even heard a reading today from one of the abominable so called modern translations of the Bible that distorted the story of Jesus’ birth. I just sat there and shook my head in amazement.

Folks, isn’t it time for Christians to get the WHOLE truth without personal biases added in and Bible characters not used as the basis of a tragic attempt to be funny? A bit of humor is fine, I am talking about twisting the story of some Bible character to the point of being ridiculousness. God did not mean every story as the basis of a joke. They are there to instruct us in the way we should follow their example or should not to make the same dumb choices that they did with their lives. Note verse eight (8) and see the strong contrast between those who deceived God’s people and the true prophet who did NOT.

Enough said. Love you all, Ike

‘ “Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “When the plowman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; when the mountains will drip sweet wine and all the hills will be dissolved. Also I will restore the captivity of My people Israel, and they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them; they will also plant vineyards and drink their wine, and make gardens and eat their fruit. I will also plant them on their own land, and they will not again be rooted out from their land which I have given them,” says the LORD your God.’ (bold for emphasis) Obadiah 9:15 NASB

It is truly an amazing prophesy that was and will be fulfilled to the letter. When the Jews were taken out to Babylon to seventy years of captivity, they lost control of their own land and even though they came back under Nehemiah and Ezra, the land was no longer their own. Not until after World War 2 was the land restored to the Jews. 1948 was the year when God fulfilled His promise to the Jews that the would be restored to their OWN land and it has been so ever since and, SO IT WILL BE TILL THE END. All the wars that Israel has had to fight since coming home have all been miraculous victories. All the land they conquered in these wars had to be returned and more still, yet the Jews tenaciously hold on to their land. I get very annoyed when I see the United Nations and even American politicians telling Israel what to do when they are an independent nation. All the land they won in battle SHOULD still be their own. I pray daily for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel and that they will retake and KEEP the Golan Height, the West Bank, Gaza and the Sinai Peninsula. These areas should rightfully belong to Israel.

Now, note God’s further promise to Israel that they will possess the land and will destroy all their enemies, especially their neighbors who seek their destruction, the Muslims of the Middle East. The one chapter book of Obadiah lays it out clearly and this should be a warning to all Israel’s rabid enemies.

‘1 The vision of Obadiah.
Thus says the Lord God concerning Edom— (the land given to Esau: added for clarity)
we have heard a report from the Lord,
and an envoy has been sent among the nations saying,
“Arise and let us go against her for battle”—
2 “Behold, I will make you small among the nations;
you are greatly despised.
3 The arrogance of your heart has deceived you,
you who live in the clefts of the rock, (PETRA added for clarity)
in the loftiness of your dwelling place,
who say in your heart,
‘Who will bring me down to earth?’
4 “Though you build high like the eagle,
though you set your nest among the stars,
from there I will bring you down,” declares the Lord.
5 “If thieves came to you,
if robbers by night—
o how you will be ruined!—
Would they not steal only until they had enough?
If grape gatherers came to you,
Would they not leave some gleanings?
6 O how Esau will be ransacked,
and his hidden treasures searched out!
7 All the men allied with you
will send you forth to the border,
and the men at peace with you
will deceive you and overpower you.
They who eat your bread
will set an ambush for you.
(There is no understanding in him.)
8 “Will I not on that day,” declares the Lord,
“Destroy wise men from Edom
and understanding from the mountain of Esau?
9 Then your mighty men will be dismayed, O Teman,
so that everyone may be cut off from the mountain of Esau by slaughter.
10 Because of violence to your brother Jacob, (probably speaks of terrorism: added)
you will be covered with shame,
and you will be cut off forever.
11 On the day that you stood aloof,
on the day that strangers carried off his wealth,
and foreigners entered his gate
and cast lots for Jerusalem—
you too were as one of them.
12 Do not gloat over your brother’s day,
the day of his misfortune.
And do not rejoice over the sons of Judah
in the day of their destruction;
yes, do not boast
in the day of their distress.
13 Do not enter the gate of My people
in the day of their disaster.
Yes, you, do not gloat over their calamity
in the day of their disaster.
And do not loot their wealth
in the day of their disaster.
14 Do not stand at the fork of the road
to cut down their fugitives;
and do not imprison their survivors
in the day of their distress.
The Day of the Lord and the Future
15 “For the day of the Lord draws near on all the nations.
As you have done, it will be done to you.
Your dealings will return on your own head.
16 Because just as you drank on My holy mountain,
all the nations will drink continually.
They will drink and swallow
and become as if they had never existed.
17 But on Mount Zion there will be those who escape,
and it will be holy.
And the house of Jacob will possess their possessions.
18 Then the house of Jacob will be a fire
and the house of Joseph a flame;
but the house of Esau will be as stubble.
And they will set them on fire and consume them,
so that there will be no survivor of the house of Esau,
for the Lord has spoken.
19 Then those of the Negev will possess the mountain of Esau,
and those of the Shephelah the Philistine plain; (Gaza: added for clarity)
also, possess the territory of Ephraim and the territory of Samaria,
and Benjamin will possess Gilead.
20 And the exiles of this host of the sons of Israel,
who are among the Canaanites as far as Zarephath,
and the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad
will possess the cities of the Negev.
21 The deliverers will ascend Mount Zion
to judge the mountain of Esau,
and the kingdom will be the Lord’s.’ (bold added for emphasis) Obadiah 1:1-21 NASB

Note that the very things that my heart desires for Israel is just what the LORD is going to give to them, the land that rightfully belongs to them and His protection. It is impossible to deny the biblical fact that the land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people.

There are many true believers in the Middle East today and they are brutally treated by the Muslims in many places, but they too will be protected by the hand of the LORD. Note especially that God says that ALL THE NATIONS that are against Israel will fall under His wrath. America is blessed because we protect Israel, but if we turn our backs on her then we too will suffer.

Way back in Genesis, God made a promise to His people.

“I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Genesis 12:3 NASB

Isn’t that interesting, all the families of the earth COULD be blessed IF they would only BLESS Israel. What a wonderful promise to us IF we do not turn our backs on Israel now.

Well, enough said. Happy Hanukkah to all our Jewish friends and family, especially a particular Rabbi in Southern California named Yosef, a true believer in Yeshua/Jesus, and one of my dearest friends in the world. Love you all, Ike

“For behold, He who forms mountains and creates the wind and declares to man what are His thoughts, He who makes dawn into darkness and treads on the high places of the earth, the LORD God of hosts is His name.” Amos 4:13 NASB

“He who made the Pleaides and Orion and changes deep darkness into morning, Who also darkens day into night, Who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the surface of the earth, the LORD is His name.” (note the word LORD equals His name, YHVH) Amos 4:8 NASB

“The Lord GOD of hosts, the One who touches the land so that it melts, and all those who dwell in it mourn, and all of it rises up like the Nile and subsides like the Nile of Egypt; the One who builds His upper chambers in the heavens and has founded His vaulted dome over the earth, He who calls the waters of the sea and pours them out on the face of the earth, (ie rain) the LORD is His name.” Amos 9:5-6 NASB

Now His chastising of Israel for their rebellion and unfaithfulness to Him

21 “I hate, I reject your festivals,
Nor do I delight in your solemn assemblies.
22 “Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings,
I will not accept them;
And I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fatlings.
23 “Take away from Me the noise of your songs;
I will not even listen to the sound of your harps.
24 “But let justice roll down like waters
And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” Amos 5:21-24 NASB

Moved to our day and the era of Feel Good preaching …

“Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD, “when I will send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of the LORD. People will stagger from sea to sea and from north even to the east; they will go to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.” Amos 8:11-12 NASB

There is a link between the prophesies of their day and ours. As Israel and Judah were taken into captivity, so the LORD may choose to do the same with America if His people do not repent of their sinful ways and turn to Him in passionate love and worship. There are a few churches that are still honoring God in this way, but I fear fewer all the time. Apostasy is rampant within so-called Christianity today.

I am currently reading a book titled Holiness by J. C. Ryle. He is one of the old time preachers in England and knows how to lay open the whole truth to the body of Christ. He repeatedly pushes the idea of so-called Christianity vs REAL Christianity. Many today have, “Said the prayer and were baptized,” but live a lifestyle that would not be recognized as Christian by those who know better. They pick and choose which Sunday they attend church. Ministry is a non issue for them since they just don’t know when they will be available to serve. Most of the time they are worshiping God in a dune buggy or with a fishing pole.

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.” Galatians 5:16-17 NASB

When we do what PLEASES us rather than what pleases God, we are living in the flesh! It grieves my heart so deeply to see so-called NOMINAL Christians in the world today. I pastored many of them for years and it grieved me then as well. They blow hot and cold in their attendance of worship and will suddenly be gone and maybe a year or two later show up for a few weeks again. Some finally found the truth and became solid believers and true servants of the Lord.

Amos 5:21-24 is so appropriate to today’s apostate denominations. God says for them to just stop the pretense of worship and close the doors rather than do worship services that are designed to please the people rather than God. The question should be, “Does this music and songs please God or only the people, is the sermon designed to be God’s instrument to speak the Word of God or is it designed to please the people and never offend them. Is it biblically correct or politically correct? These are REAL issues in today’s church and must be dealt with before God will restore His presence and blessing.

“For though I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it — for I see that the letter caused you sorrow, though only for a while — I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.” 2 Corinthians 7:8-10 NASB

Enough said. I pray that the LORD will deal with each of us as He sees fit. Love you all, Ike.

“I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.” Ezekiel 22:30 NASB

“They have set up kings, but not by Me; they have appointed princes, but I did not know it, with their silver and gold they have made idols for themselves, that they might be cut off.” Hosea 8:4 NASB

“Though I wrote for him ten thousand precepts of My law, there are regarded as a strange thing.” Hosea 8:12 NASB

These verses are very much lined up with where America is today. In the first verse, Israel had gotten to the point that God could not find a man who cared about the nation enough to take a stand. We are getting there way too quickly. Thank God there are still many who would fill the gap but how much longer will they stand tall and fight evil?

In the second verse, this one fits like a glove. This is when the people of Israel and Judea stopped consulting God as to whom He would appoint to be king, but the process had fallen into great corruption. Over the past few elections, with the exception of George W. Bush, our nation has debilitated to selecting men who lay no value on God except during elections. George W. actually said that he felt that God had CALLED him to be president. Voter fraud is rampant today and has corrupted the whole process.

In the third verse, we see that the Word of God had lost its favor among the people and they saw it as a strange thing, not worth looking at any more. This is tragically where far too many churches and whole denominations are today. Political correctness has long since replaced the Bible as the foundation for their practice. It never ceases to amaze me to hear preachers support evolution or theistic evolution from their pulpits. Evolution is a blatant lie and can never have a place alongside the Word of God. PBS is constantly on the attack of the Bible and especially the person of Jesus. Bill Moyers was once a Baptist preacher, but now he constantly demeans it and does all he can to destroy trust in its truthfulness.

This is why we desperately need to see the LORD call His church to repentance and pull us away from the apostasy that permeates so many churches today. As goes the church, so goes the nation.

Our public schools are dangerous places for children to go since the Ten Commandments and prayer have been removed. David Barton has a study showing the immediate decline of schools in learning and the increase of violence since the removal of God from schools. Kids have to pass through metal detectors just to go to class today. Far too many kids have actually lost their lives by just going to school.

FOLKS, we MUST cry out to God from a heaven sent revival or we WILL see our nation fall as did other great nations and empires of the past. Have you taken time today to do this? It is simple, just pour out your concerns to the God who hears the cry of His people. Do it relentlessly! Do it often through the day! Just look at how far we have fallen in the past ten years and imagine what the next ten will hold if we do not see a reversal in the direction we are now going.

Someone has said, “Snowflakes are fragile little things, but if enough of them STICK TOGETHER they can stop traffic.” We MUST stop the runaway moral train that is heading for the cliff NOW. We can no longer just be casual Christians and think that by just attending a worship service once a week that we have done our duty. All one has to do is read the New Testament to see just how far off the mark this mindset is from God’s purpose for His church.

“I will go away and return to My place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; in their affliction they will earnestly seek Me. ” Hosea 5:15 NASB

I wonder sometimes why the LORD doesn’t just zap us and change the horrific mess that we now face in the USA. He could in a moment, but I sense that He is doing to us what He did to Israel in this passage. He was fed up with their open rebellion and blatant sins so He withdrew from them until they were fed up with themselves, repented and sought His face. Oh how the USA needs a huge heaven sent revival so that the church gets on its knees and repents for the compromises made by His people. The ONLY hope for America is spiritual. There is so much corruption in politics today that we cannot depend on them to make positive changes now. If we look to the past and read the accounts of when God moved in miraculous power among His people and then as a result He began to draw lost people from all over the city to seek His forgiveness, it might just spark it again.

Dr. Henry Blackaby recommended a book on revival that is great. It is titled: Revival, A People Saturated With God by Brian H. Edwards. He is a pastor in England and the book examines the why and how of when God moves in power among His people.

Other books to read are Spiritual Awakening: God’s Divine Work by Lewis Drummond and Revival Is Like Judgment Day by Dr. J. Edwin Orr. You will be blown away when you read the accounts of when God moved in cites, countries and continents to bring repentance among His people and salvation to the lost in mass numbers. There are other books as well such as The Shantung Revival by C. L. Culpepper recounting the revival in China. If you want a huge shot in the arm read Why Revival Tarries by Leonard Ravenhill. Some of these books may be on line, not sure. They will set your soul on fire. Love you, Ike

It is amazing to watch the atheists and other non-Christians try to CHANGE the Christmas season into something that it is NOT. It is a Christmas tree, it is a Christmas gift, it is Merry Christmas, not Happy Holidays, it is the BIRTH of Jesus Christ or in Hebrew, Y’shua Hamashiach, to Messianic Jews. It is a time when the government shuts down for Christmas holiday or holy day, it is a time when public schools close down or two weeks.

For all those who are trying to change the holiday to something other than CHRISTMAS, try doing this with Ramadan and see what results you get. Also, try forbidding Muslims from praying in the name of Allah. It is always interesting to watch atheists attack everything CHRISTIAN and leave all other so called religions alone. Why does the ACLU have such a war on the CROSS around the nation? Did you know that the ACLU was founded by a Communist and atheist? You see, the name and cross of Jesus Christ is very convicting to those who have refused to believe in Him for salvation. They are living in rebellion against God and try their best to deny His existence. You see, evolution is an atheistic attempt to explain how everything got here and yet it simply fails every test thrown at it. This is why so many HOAXES have been created to try and give us just ONE transitional form and they have all been exposed as a lie. Piltdown Man, Nebraska Man, Lucy, the so called flying reptile that National Geographic tried to push but was ultimately found to be two different fossils put together to make it look like a transitional form. National Geographic made a retraction buried in the back of the magazine, yet featured it on the front cover when it was first pushed on the public. There are multiple such examples of outright attempts to refute the biblical account of creation. Everything in nature screams out that it was CREATED. Order is everywhere.

So, when atheists attack Christmas, the Cross and the Bible itself, it is a desperate attempt to avoid the ultimate accountability that they will face at death. One of the most fascinating books that I have ever read was titled: The Dying Words of Great Atheists. It accounts that many of these individuals, at death, begged for someone to tell them how to meet God.

If you are an atheist, I wish you a Merry Christmas and may you, like I did thirty-eight years ago, find God to be real and that He forgives sins as He did for me in December 1974. You just have not lived till you meet Him personally and experience His love and forgiveness.
