The answer to this question is without a doubt, YES! Last week I wrote of an upcoming miraculous event. Well, we are now one day away! My passion in life is to bring people together under the Lordship of Jesus the Messiah. I had another wonderful meeting with my Arab and Jewish friends this week and we made our final arrangements to show everyone the reality that these two men have become friends and truly love one another as brothers in Jesus Christ. The world has longed for peace between all people for thousands of years. The tragic mistake that most people and governments make is trying to bring peace without the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. I was surprised to hear my friends speak of how many Jews and Arabs believe in Jesus versus other gods and religions. There are three million Arabic speaking people in the America and a full 77% believe in Jesus, while only 23% are Muslim. Among the six million Jews in America, 1 million believe in Y’shua   (Jesus) the Messiah. Worldwide, 2 million of the 14 million Jews believe in Him. These figures may surprise us but they are authentic. The Bible clearly commands all believers to love God, one another and all people! “This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.”                           1 John 3:23“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.”                         1 John 4:7, 11-12“The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”                            2 Peter 3:9 “Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “circumcism ,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands– remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.”   Ephesians 2:11-16

Jews, Arabs and all others come! It can’t hurt to check it out for yourself, and you might just end up believing in Jesus yourself! This is a Sunday only event at our 8:15 and 10:15 worship services.

We all deal with ongoing struggles like marriage, family, work, health and money to name a few. There is another struggle that has always been in our world: religious differences. It is interesting to note that when 9-11 occurred, the radical Islamic world openly proclaimed that they were declaring war on America, particularly the Jews and Christians. Why so specific? What in the world got this tension started in the first place and how will we ever see it resolved? Well, I have personally witnessed the solution in flesh and blood form. The roots of this struggle date back to Genesis 15. Almighty God made an unconditional promise to Abram (Abraham) that his offspring would multiply, fill the earth and possess the land that now is in the crosshairs of conflict in the Middle East. God told Abram, at age 85, that his barren wife, Sarai (Sarah), would have a son in her old age and he and his offspring would be the heirs of this glorious promise. Great! But there was a problem. Impatience! Sarah’s biological clock had actually stopped and she was panicked that she could not have a child. In spite of knowing this magnificent promise, she gave her Egyptian hand-maid to Abram so that she could have a surrogate child through her. So Abram impregnated Hagar and she had a son, but not the son of the Promise! Abram loved his son Ishmael dearly, but Sarai was jealous of Hagar. Fourteen years later, Isaac was born to Sarai. This jealousy flared up and she drove Hagar and her son Ishmael into the wilderness. There the angel of the LORD found her and sent her back to Sarai with the instruction to submit to her, but also with the promise that her son would become a great nation as well. (Genesis 21:13) At this time God changed Abram’s name to Abraham, father of a multitude. From Isaac, the Promise would come to reality. Ultimately, through Jacob, twelve tribes would be born and become what we know as Israel. From that troubled beginning we have the root of the problem today. Through Ishmael, father of the Arab nation, and Isaac, father of Israel, a lasting struggle was born. Over the centuries the problem has worsened until today we see the present world crisis. Jews and Christians both worship the same God, and are the target of years of bitterness and violence. Now, let me get to the miracle that I recently saw and that you will be able to see on September 26, 2004. I sat for four hours with a man of Arab descent and a man of Jewish descent and I saw them talk through issues and become friends! What on earth happened? Did they give up their birth heritage? Did they sign a peace treaty? No! They both had believed in Jesus the Messiah! These two men were able to lay down their past hurts, forgive and be brothers in the One person who came to make peace between man and God, Jesus (Y’shuah) the Messiah, the Prince of Peace. See for yourself! Jews, Arabs and all others come and be a part of the ultimate display of peace on earth. Sunday, September 26, 2004 at 8:15 and 10:15 am. Do you lack peace inside? Come! Hear the stories of each man, then receive the gift! Pastor Ike

“Were they ashamed because of the abomination they have done? They were not even ashamed at all; they did not even know how to blush.”             Jeremiah 6:15It is very disturbing to see American families wearing clothing that is radically opposed to who we really are spiritually and morally. Ladies, are you aware that the bare midriff is a silent signal to males that you are sexually available. You may attract attention that you don’t want! Your dress is supposed to reflect your moral values! Our church offers classes called “Every Man‘s Battle” and “Every Young Man’s Battle” to help men deal with sexual temptation. Everywhere men go in public, they see women and girls who seem to make an effort to attract them sexually. Sometimes it even happens in churches! Men have said to me that the church should be the place where they would be safe from temptation. Have we become so desensitized to morality that we don’t even care what we look like to others? There are 28,000,000 youth in America, ages 13-17, who last year spent 21 billion dollars on clothing. Some companies have begun designing clothes that better suit our values. There is a lot of money to be made making “proper” clothes for Americans. If we look at the statistics on moral issues we find that Americans are still very moral and conservative in their thinking. Look at how Californians voted on Prop. 22. Our congress has passed, three times, the ban on partial birth abortion and our current president signed it into law. The two judges who found the law unconstitutional do not represent American values. God, country, family, morality and integrity are still high on our scale of values. Many are trying to change our values by sexualizing even the youngest children through public schools and the media. One of the latest sexualizing tools is the rainbow bracelets that teens and some younger girls wear. They have a hidden message that parents are not supposed to know about. The color that a girl wears for the day sends a signal to males and sometimes to other females as to the kind of sexual activity that they are open to. The Christian church is the most powerful force in America today, yet for the most part we let the lie of separation of church and state remove our influence from the market place. I have a challenge for everyone reading this article. Families, lets turn the clothing industry on its ear! Let’s deliberately choose to buy clothing that represents our human dignity. Let me know if you want to start a movement to restore moral values. Did you know that research shows that today’s youth are more conservative than their parents? Youth, at a 72% margin, believe that abortion is morally wrong! I believe in and love this generation! We are not cattle; we are smart, clear thinking individuals. Don’t dress like a prostitute! Dress according to the worth that God says you have. Shift over to following God’s master plan and you will find the fulfillment that you have searched for so long. Let me know what you think! Let’s start a revolution! Join us for worship this week!Pastor Ike
