“… the Father loves the Son and has put everything in His hands. Whoever trusts in the Son has eternal life. But whoever disobeys the Son will not see that life but remains subject to God’s wrath.” John 3:35-36 The Jewish New Testament

“The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:35-36 NASB

No matter how you see it, anyone who ignores the Son of God is in DEEP TROUBLE unless they repent of their sins and put their trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins.

“Be on your guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that the day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-38 NASB

“Dissipation: a descent into drunkenness and sexual dissipation. Squandering of money, energy or resources”

A great word for believers of this day. Far too many professing Christians live more like the lost world around them than like redeemed and transformed saints of the LORD. This is all so easily remedied. The key word is REPENTANCE. To repent is to do a 180 degree about-face from sin and a wasted lifestyle and turning toward God and living a disciplined and effective life to please the LORD.

“That evening after sundown, they brought to Yeshua all who were ill or held in the power of demons, and the whole town came crowding around the door. He healed many who were ill with various diseases and expelled many demons, but He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.” Mark 1:32-34 Jewish New Testament

“Whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they would fall down and scream, ‘You are the Son of God!’ ” (emphasis added) Mark 3:11 Jewish New Testament

Isn’t it strange, even the demons knew who Jesus/Yeshua (Jesus’ Hebrew name) was but the so-called Christian cults do not? Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons and others have oddball ideas who He was but are UNWILLING to admit what the Bible clearly teaches, that Jesus/Yeshua is Almighty God made flesh. These cults say He was anything from A god to Satan’s brother, but they will not allow Him to be totally equal with the Father. Note these verses for more clarification.

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: behold a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel. (God with us) Isaiah 7:14 NASB

“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” (there is actually a comma between wonderful and counselor) Isaiah 9:6 NASB

“For this is the one referred to by Isaiah the prophet when he said, ‘THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, MAKE READY THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT!’ ” (The word LORD here is the Hebrew YHVH, the name for Almighty God) Matthew 3:3 NASB

There are many more such verses that definitively PROVE that Jesus was and IS Almighty God made flesh to take away the sins of the world, that’s you and me!

So, the next time you encounter a cult member who tries to tell you that Jesus is anything other than Almighty God, just lay these verses on them, gently of course, but firmly enough to make it crystal clear.

For further study look up Zechariah 12:10 followed by Revelation 1:7-8 followed by Revelation 1:17-18 followed by Revelation 21:5-6 followed by Revelation 22:12-16. Each progression uses the terms used by God the Father such as the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last and in the last passage Jesus uses both of these to describe Himself. These passages are the ultimate proof of His being Almighty God.

“What profit is the idol when its maker has carved it,
or an image, a teacher of falsehood?
For its maker trusts in his own handiwork
when he fashions speechless idols.
Woe to him who says to a piece of wood, ‘Awake!’
To a mute stone, ‘Arise!’
And that is your teacher?
Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver,
and there is no breath at all inside it.
But the Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him.” Habakkuk 2:18-20 NASB

“Thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who lead My people astray; when they have something to bite with their teeth, they cry, ‘Peace,’ but against him who puts nothing in their mouths they declare holy war.” Micah 3:5 NASB

“Her leaders pronounce judgment for a bribe, her priests instruct for a price and her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the LORD saying, ‘Is not the LORD in our midst? Calamity will not come upon us.’ Therefore, on account of you Zion will be plowed as a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins, and the mountains of the temple will become high places of a forest.” Micah 3:11-12 NASB

This speaks of the blatant corruption of Judah just before they were captured and taken away to Babylon in slavery for seventy years.

The people who suffer most under corrupt spiritual leaders are followers of these people. They constantly ask for money and use gimmicks to reap even more money from them through selling articles supposedly blessed by them to cure chronic illnesses and life threatening diseases. These articles do NO good for them, yet they continue to trust these folks since they are laden with guilt trips by them saying that they just did not have enough faith to be healed. Their money is now in the hands of unscrupulous spiritual charlatans and they are not helped in the least.

“They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially,
saying, ‘Peace, peace,’
but there is no peace.
‘Were they ashamed because of the abomination they have done?
They were not even ashamed at all;
they did not even know how to blush.
Therefore they shall fall among those who fall;
at the time that I punish them,
they shall be cast down,’ says the Lord.” (emphasis added) Jeremiah 6:14-15

It is wonderful to see other passages where God will Himself shepherd His flock and lead them to good pasture.

“For thus says the Lord God, ‘Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for My sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day. I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and bring them to their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and in all the inhabited places of the land. I will feed them in a good pasture, and their grazing ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel. There they will lie down on good grazing ground and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. I will feed My flock and I will lead them to rest,’ declares the Lord God. ‘I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with judgment.’ ” Ezekiel 34:11-16 NASB

Well, I think you get the message here. I could refer to many other passage expanding not only the twisting of Scripture and the judgment that God will bring on those who do these things, but this is sufficient to make the point. I WOULD NOT want to stand before our Holy God at the judgment with this charge on my life. The responsibility of every teacher of the Word of God is to rightly divide it so that the TRUTH is made known. Our job is not to fleece the sheep, it is to feed His sheep. The only reward I desire is to hear the LORD say, “Well done, you good and faithful servant.”

“Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them.” Psalm 139:16 NASB

Have you ever stopped to consider just how long you will live? This is a deep topic for contemplation. How is it that some die very young and others live past one hundred years? None of us know the day of our death, but if we did it might just change our minds on how we live our remaining days. Some will die in accidents today, some from illness or sudden heart attack etc. Death comes suddenly so often that we all should stop to consider whether or not we are ready for death and for eternity. This life is a launch pad, so to speak, for how and WHERE we will spend eternity. Far too many folks live by the seat of their pants, in other words, without regard for eternity.

I cannot begin to imagine what it is like for one who thumbs their nose at God and His offer of salvation when they die. What happens to them just moments after death? Well the body is disposed of some way, but the soul lives on for eternity. Just moments after a lost person’s death, they are escorted to a place the Bible calls Torments in Hades. This is located in the heart of the earth and it is very hot since the Bible tells us that there are flames there, BUT, this is NOT the Lake of Fire or Hell. This comes after the Great White Throne judgment of Revelation 20:11-15. In the story of Lazarus and the rich man, in Luke 16:19-31, we see clearly what happens to a lost person. This is NOT a parable since it names specific people and places. This is a true depiction of what lost people face upon death. The Great White Throne judgment comes at the end of time and death and Hades are brought up and those in them will be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire.

As far as I am concerned, I am thrilled that when I die I am CERTAIN that my eternal home will be with God in heaven because I have made Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of my soul. All people have this opportunity to make Heaven their home as well. Take the time to read the book of John or the book of Romans and they will tell you just how to make this decision and why. If I can be of assistance, please reply to this article.

28 “It will come about after this
that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind;
and your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on the male and female servants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

30 I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth,
blood, fire and columns of smoke.
31 The sun will be turned into darkness
and the moon into blood
before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.” Joel 2:28-31 NASB

The KING is truly coming again and He will take all His children into Heaven with Him to live there for all eternity.

“And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4 NASB

Why would ANYONE want to miss Heaven to spend eternity in torment in the Lake of Fire? This is as real as the fact that we are alive today, it is going to happen just as God said that it would.

“Say to them, ‘As I live!’ declares the Lord GOD, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then will you die, O house of Israel?’ ” Ezekiel 33:11 NASB

Even though this was written to Israel, it still applies to all people who live today. God calls on all people to repent of their sins. The word repent represents the idea of doing a 180 degree turn about, turning away from sin and turning toward God seeking forgiveness and relationship with the God who desires all people to be saved (delivered from the fires of Hell.)

The only result of living a life of sinful rebellion toward God is spiritual death.

“Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.” James 1:15 NASB

Death or Life, that is the choice each person must wrestle with. Which will you choose?

“If you fear man, you fear not God.”

I cannot remember which well-known preacher said these words, I believe it was Charles Finney. This is a succinct way of putting a profound truth.

” The fear of man brings a snare (trap), but he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted.” Proverbs 29:25 NASB

That pretty well says it.

‘Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “And you, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Then cause her to know all her abominations. 3 You shall say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “A city shedding blood in her midst, so that her time will come, and that makes idols, contrary to her interest, for defilement! 4 You have become guilty by the blood which you have shed, and defiled by your idols which you have made. Thus you have brought your day near and have come to your years; therefore I have made you a reproach to the nations and a mocking to all the lands. 5 Those who are near and those who are far from you will mock you, you of ill repute, full of turmoil.

6 “Behold, the rulers of Israel, each according to his power, have been in you for the purpose of shedding blood. 7 They have treated father and mother lightly within you. The alien they have oppressed in your midst; the fatherless and the widow they have wronged in you. 8 You have despised My holy things and profaned My sabbaths. 9 Slanderous men have been in you for the purpose of shedding blood, and in you they have eaten at the mountain shrines. In your midst they have committed acts of lewdness.” Ezekiel 22:1-9

“Her princes within her are like wolves tearing the prey, by shedding blood and destroying lives in order to get dishonest gain.” Ezekiel 22:27

(Emphasis added … all Scripture passages from the NASB)

Tragically, the number of children sacrificed in Judea pales in comparison to what has happened in America. Do you see the clear parallels between what was happening in Judea and what has been happening in America since 1973. Between 58 and 60 MILLION unborn, innocent babies have been slaughtered in America since this perverted decision was made. We now know that a lot of manipulation was used to make it happen, including the manipulation of the woman used in the case, who has since become a Christian and has revealed the evil of how this happened.

Can you imagine that almost the entire population of California and Texas have been murdered FOR PROFIT. Planned Parenthood aborted 323,999 babies in 2014, while spending U.S. taxpayer support dollars amounting to $553.7 million dollars, not to mention the money charged to do the abortions and then selling the baby parts to interested organizations. THIS IS AN ABOMINATION! During the Obama years, they had the complete support for their activities and the conservative congress had their hands tied by Democrats and Obama in any effort to defund them. Anything they sent up to Obama was vetoed.

The question now is will President Trump and the Republicans, who control both houses, DEFUND this hideous organization? Will they have the backbone to cut the fangs out of this vicious evil? Please put this on your daily prayer list.

“If I regard wickedness in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” Psalm 66:18 NASB

The key to getting our prayers through to the Throne of God is confession and forsaking our sins.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 NASB

God expects us to forsake our sins, not return over and over to the same failures.

“He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.” Proverbs 28:13 NASB

“How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered!
2 How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no deceit!

3 When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;
my vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. Selah.
5 I acknowledged my sin to You,
and my iniquity I did not hide;
I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord’;
and You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.
6 Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found;
surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.
7 You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble;
You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.” Psalm 32:1-7 NASB

The word Selah is a musical interlude and many scholars believe that this was for the hearer or reader to stop and consider what they have just heard or read.

Don’t we all want to live with the favor of God? This is the place where we receive His blessings.

“Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; how blessed are all those who long for Him.” Isaiah 30:18 NASB
